He is also a maintainer within the Chakra UI ecosystem, working on Chakra UI and Panda CSS.\n\n## Early Life and Education\n\nBorn and raised in Nigeria, Tolulope's interest in programming began in junior secondary school, where he first experimented with code using the Scratch visual programming interface. His interest deepened after completing secondary school, leading him to study Computer Engineering at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), from which he graduated.\n\n## Career\n\n### Early work\n\nTolulope began his professional journey in January 2021 as a volunteer intern at Zealarax Technologies, where he built foundational skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and tutored other students. His work there includes [AIDEN](https://iq.wiki/wiki/aiden), an agent that answers crypto questions using IQ.wiki content with cited sources, and adk-ts, an open-source TypeScript agent development kit.\n\n## Open-source work\n\nTolulope is an active open-source contributor and describes open-source sustainability, community growth, and the impact of large language models on engineering as central interests.\n\nHe is a maintainer in the Chakra UI ecosystem, working on Chakra UI, a component framework for building React applications, and Panda CSS, a build-time, type-safe CSS-in-JS styling engine. He has also contributed to related projects in the ecosystem, including Zag and Ark UI.\n\nHe contributes to npmx.dev, a fast browser for the npm registry, and to Syncia, a browser extension that adds an AI assistant sidebar to Chrome.\n\n## Writing and community\n\nTolulope writes about frontend engineering, open source, and LLMs. He publishes essays on his personal site and has written for Medium and Substack, including a recurring series documenting his work on Panda CSS \"from the trenches.\" He participates in tech meetups within the Web3 and open-source communities.\n\nDriven by his commitment to community, Tolulope volunteers with 4Herfrika, a pan-African nonprofit that empowers young African women in technology, business, and leadership across university campuses.
