An attacker exploited a vulnerability in a third-party cross-chain solution, allowing for the unauthorized minting of 1 billion $PORT3 tokens. The event led to an estimated loss of $13 million and a sharp collapse in the token's market value. This \"BridgeIn vulnerability\" was exploited to mint 1 billion new $PORT3 tokens. The attacker then sold approximately 162.75 million tokens on-chain for about 199 BNB (worth roughly $166,000), before burning or destroying the remaining 837.25 million tokens after the team and exchanges intervened. The price of the $PORT3 token plummeted by over 75% within 24 hours of the attack, with its market capitalization falling to below $5 million.
