[\\[6\\]](#cite-id-SoAcexUjNYLx756L) \n\n## Career\n\nMilner worked as a Derivatives Sales Executive at JNF Capital from September 2014 to April 2016, focusing on the sell side of public equities. From October 2016 to May 2017, he worked as a Derivatives Sales Executive at GKFX, focusing on the foreign exchange sell side. In January 2017, Milner co-founded Nextblock, a [cryptocurrency](https://iq.wiki/wiki/cryptocurrency) investment syndicate, and remained with the company until September 2019. From October 2017 to July 2024, he also worked as an angel investor through AngelList, making angel investments and supporting startups.\n\nMilner joined Tomahawk.VC, an early-stage venture capital firm headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, as an Investment Manager in January 2021. He held the position until June 2022, then served as a Venture Partner from June 2022 to January 2023. During this period, he also served as a board member at Plend, a personalized credit company, from July 2021 to July 2022, and at Superjoi, a platform focused on funding creators, from January to July 2022. From March to November 2023, Milner worked as a Business Development Manager at Nostra. He explained that while [DeFi](https://iq.wiki/wiki/defi) risk analysts have developed expertise in [smart-contract](https://iq.wiki/wiki/smart-contract) and [oracle](https://iq.wiki/wiki/oracle) risks, evaluating tokenized assets also requires examining off-chain credit exposure, counterparties, underlying capital deployment, and potential contagion. Milner emphasized stress-testing vaults for periods of market disruption and communicating how quickly assets could be redeemed under different liquidity scenarios. He described [Hare](https://iq.wiki/wiki/hare) as an onchain credit desk that aims to connect asset issuers with investors by supporting new assets from origination and tokenization through product structuring, distribution, and integration into [decentralized finance (DeFi)](https://iq.wiki/wiki/defi). The capital commitment is intended to support [Hare’s](https://iq.wiki/wiki/hare) existing and future products, provide liquidity, and serve as first-loss capital to absorb potential losses from bad debt. Milner argued that the onchain vault market needs more comprehensive risk underwriting, transparency, and supporting infrastructure to make structured products more accessible to capital allocators. He also discussed the potential to extend yield-generating products to additional asset classes, including equities and commodities, with product development guided by market demand.
